Student Leadership

House Captains

The House system is used to develop the feeling of unity and cooperation as it builds school spirit and a sense of community.

At the Meadow Springs Campus, each House has two House Captains, a boy and a girl from Year 6. At the Halls Head Campus, each House has one House Captain.

The students have additional responsibilities throughout the year supporting the House Teachers and House activities, representing their House and school at special events and fulfilling leadership duties as required.

Junior Councillors

Through a partnership with the City of Mandurah, Frederick Irwin Anglican School has embraced the opportunity for students to participate in the Junior Councillor programme.

Two Year 6 students from the Meadow Springs campus, and two Year 6 students from the Halls Head campus, represent the School each year learning leadership skills and developing their understanding of governance, whilst also being involved in the discussion and organisation of community initiatives.
