I want to extend a very warm welcome to the Frederick Irwin Anglican School community for 2022. Whether you are already part of our vibrant community or new to Frederick Irwin Anglican School, I welcome you! I am delighted and humbled to be Principal from 2022, and I look forward to welcoming you and your family to our community.
Frederick Irwin Anglican School is a unique learning environment offering high-quality education situated on two campuses located in Meadow Springs and Halls Head. We offer Kindergarten to Year 12 at Meadow Springs and Kindergarten to Year 6 at Halls Head. Students are given a broad range of opportunities and experiences to develop their skills across a range of academic, performing arts, sport, service learning and co-curricular activities. As an Anglican school, we foster academic endeavours and strive to develop the social, emotional, physical and spiritual lives of our students so they can make a difference in the lives of others through the opportunities they enjoy.
Research shows us that students flourish when the relationship between home and school is strong, and we pride ourselves on the partnership we have with families. Many of the current school parents were Frederick Irwin Anglican School students themselves. What makes our school truly special is our dedicated staff, who go above and beyond, providing quality teaching and demonstrating genuine care for each student, celebrating their unique gifts. Our grounds, facilities and infrastructure are meticulously cared for, showing a sense of pride by each staff member.
My vision has been shaped through many years of research in education and working with teachers, leaders, parents, and students and focusing on developing the whole child. My vision is for each child to flourish through purpose and belonging, achieve their potential, develop their gifts and have a heart for making a difference to others. The vision is shown through four pillars;
Relationships – developing positive relationships through compassion, care and a sense of belonging
Mastery – providing quality academic success for every student through a range of pathways
Service – fostering a heart for others and looking at ways to make a difference across the community
Community – participating and contributing to the life of the school, church, community and the world as a whole.
These pillars complement our school values that are fostered throughout the school of; Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Compassion, Courage.
Frederick Irwin Anglican School is an excellent school with a long history of success. This year we will seek feedback on the achievements of our previous strategic plan as we look to build on this success for the future. The feedback from our community, staff and students will support the development and journey into the next strategic phase of the school. I look forward to sharing more with you on this process and your involvement in this next exciting chapter.
I encourage you to take the time and visit our website, Facebook and Instagram page as it shows the life of the school, the beautiful experiences enjoyed by students and the care demonstrated by staff across the campus’. Frederick Irwin Anglican School is an extraordinary place of joy, where students belong, and staff genuinely care. I encourage you to book a tour and come and see for yourself.
I wish you all a very blessed 2022 and look forward to getting to know you and your children and seeing them flourish at Frederick Irwin Anglican School.
